Cwith the closure of schools, for many Italian families the usual rush of daily entanglements opens up. Between work commitments, holidays to organize and the precious, but not always sufficient, support of grandparents, the desire to guarantee children moments of leisure in the open air and a peaceful summer is also growing. In this delicate balance, summer day centers often become a fundamental resource. However, too often their cost represents a significant burden on the family budget, transforming a useful solution in a choice that is not always easily accessible.
Summer camp bonus, support for families
To give parents some respite, the INPS has confirmed its long-awaited aid package for this year too. In fact, the notice for the summer camp bonus has been published, a measure that offers a total or partial reimbursement of expenses to lighten the costs of summer activities for children. But the clock is ticking: there is only time until 12:00 on Thursday 25 June to send the request.
Who can request the contribution
The summer camp bonus is not open to everyonebut it is reserved for a specific audience: it is in fact aimed at the children, or orphans, of employees and pensioners of the Public Administration. From an age perspective, support It is designed for boys and girls aged 3 to 14 (completed by June 30th). The objective is to cover the costs of daytime stays in Italy during the school holidays, specifically from June until September 5th. The structures chosen must guarantee safe spaces, in accordance with the law and free of architectural barriers, where children can play and socialize in peace. However, there is an important detail to keep in mind: the announcement excludes summer camps that include overnight stays. We are talking exclusively about daytime activities.

How much is the bonus worth and what does the amount cover
INPS has made a total of 3,000 contributions available. Each pass allows you to obtain a maximum reimbursement of 100 euros per weekfor a total limit of four weeks (even non-consecutive). It means that a family can receive up to 400 euros of help for each child. To be able to request a refund, the minimum frequency required is at least one weekunderstood as five working days. The bonus covers expenses strictly related to recreational, recreational and sporting activities, but also the costs of food, lunches and snacks, insurance fees and the inevitable trips out of town organized by the facility.
The weight of the ISEE in the reimbursement calculation
The final refund amount is not the same for everyone, but it is calibrated based on the ISEEwho not only decides the reimbursement percentage, but also establishes the position in the final ranking. The subdivision of reimbursements follows a progressive scheme:
- Up to 8,000 euros of ISEE: 100% of the expense is reimbursed (up to a maximum of 100 euros per week)
- From 8,000.01 to 24,000 euros: the refund covers 95% of the cost
- From 24,000.01 to 32,000 euros: the share covered drops to 90%
- From 32,000.01 to 56,000 euros: INPS covers 85% of the expense
- Over 56,000 euros: the reimbursement stands at 80%.
How to submit the application online
The procedure for requesting the bonus travels exclusively on digital tracks. To access the dedicated section on the INPS portal, you must be in possession of either the Spid, or the Electronic Identity Card or the National Services Card. Once logged in to the institute’s portal, you need to search for the “Welfare Benefits Portal”. From here the path is guided: click on “Access the thematic area”, then on “Application management”, “Submission of application” and finally on “Use the service”. At that point, simply select the item related to “Summer Centers”.
To avoid making mistakes
A small but fundamental tip: after completing all the fields and clicking on send, you must check in the “My questions” section that the application has not remained stored as a simple “draft”. The certainty of the successful sending is only when the system releases an official protocol number. If you notice an error after sending, the registered application cannot be modified: the only solution is to send a new one from scratch. INPS will take into consideration the last one arriving in chronological order before the deadline.
The dates of the rankings and the times of payments
Once registrations close on June 25th, INPS will draw up the rankings of beneficiaries, which will be published by 28 July. In drawing up the lists, absolute priority will be given to some delicate categories, such as orphaned children and minors with disabilities, for whom 500 dedicated places are reserved. Next, we will look at the ISEE value in ascending order and, with the same income, priority will go to younger children. There are also two windows for “scrolling” the rankingdesigned to recover the places left vacant by those who withdraw: the first by September 22nd and the second by October 15th. Finally, keep an eye on your wallet: for those who win the first award in July, the credit of the sums spent will arrive in the current account by December 31st. For those who return in the subsequent autumn periods, the reimbursement will be paid by February 1st of the following year.
