Blauw-Wit suffered a heavy defeat against Fortuna in the Korfball League this afternoon. The visitors, who are considered one of the contenders for the title, were too strong in Amsterdam with 27-12.
The team of Erik van Brenk and Mark van der Laan started the game full of conviction, but soon found themselves behind. The difference in power soon became noticeable in the Blauw-Withal, as Fortuna was leading 8-3 in no time. The visitors struck at the right moments and easily took a comfortable 12-5 lead at halftime.

Even after the break, Fortuna walked over the team from Amsterdam. Blauw-Wit had no chance and the will and strength of the home team was diminishing by the minute. As a result, the damage continued to increase. The counter stopped with a 27-12 win for Fortuna.
