FC Volendam – NAC – NH News

FC Volendam previously practiced against Ajax (5-4 loss), Sevilla (7-0 loss) and Linense (2-0 loss). In the last game of the year, Henk Veerman was missing with an injury. The visitors from Breda first became dangerous through Ezechiel Banzuzi. Filip Stankovic was able to turn his bet. Came through Robert Mühren The New Orange however at 1-0. The striker worked a Daryl van Mieghem cross against the ropes. The home team then went looking for more. For example, a shot from Joey Antonioli went over and Derry shot John Murkin just wide after a solo.

Out of nowhere, NAC came to the same level. After a good pass from Odysseus Velanas, Kaj de Rooij completed the ball behind Stankovic: 1-1. Volendam was not put off by this and often went on the offensive. Volenda player Alex Plat hit the ball off the goal line and only got yellow. The penalty was then used by Mühren: 2-1. After a foul on Murkin, Mühren was allowed to start again from the penalty spot. He gratefully unwrapped the present and completed his hat-trick.

After the break it was a lot less exciting in terms of chances and goals. Murkin hit the post from a promising position and Gaetano Oristanio was also unhappy in the finish. Partly due to the many substitutions, the level quickly dropped.

Xavier Mbuyamba was the only field player who was allowed to stand and he turned out to be important. The central defender took the ball off the line with a great opportunity for the team from Brabant. Stankovic was a spoilsport for NAC in the rebound. Mbuyamba headed hard from a corner in the final phase: 4-1.

Volendam will play the first game of the second half of the season against SC Cambuur on January 8. The kick-off in Leeuwarden is at 2.30 pm.

Line-up FC Volendam: Stankovic; Neighbor (Douiri/65), Mbuyamba, Mirani (Plat/65), Murkin (James/65); Benamar (Flint/65), Antonioli (Nazih/65), Eiting (W. Ould-Chikh/46); Oristanio (El Kadiri/61), Mühren (Seafuik/61), Van Mieghem (B. Ould-Chikh/61)
