According to his wife, the couple was unable to spend their wedding anniversary in Chicago as planned because Whibley had to go to the emergency room and spend a few days in the hospital. His heart would also be severely weakened after the illness, which would give rise to concerns about secondary illnesses. On Sunday, September 17th, we were able to breathe a sigh of relief.

The singer was allowed to leave the hospital and is now being looked after at home by his mother, a trained nurse, and his wife. Both the lungs and heart appeared better again. Ariana Cooper emphasizes in her Instagram post how grateful she is for the support of her community.
