Sudosa-Desto crushes opponent they lost months ago

VOLLEYBALL – The ladies of Sudosa-Desto won very convincingly today on a visit to WVC from Wierden. In the last away game of the season, it had no problem with the opponent and they won 3-0: 25-9, 25-23, 25-14.

On September 18, Sudosa-Desto and WVC faced each other in the first round of the competition. Against all expectations, WVC won 3-2 in Assen at the time. That match was sufficient motivation for the club from Assen to show how the proportions are today. In the absence of Lesley de Jonge, Erwin Sikkema was at the helm of Sudosa-Desto today. Due to a number of strong servings, the first set was won without a fight.

The level of Sikkema’s team dropped somewhat in the second set, but he had a good explanation for this: “At the start of the second set, we were not even really in the game. Due to our strong service sessions, we were still completely didn’t get to adapt.” The focus was completely back in the third set and it was won again without difficulty.

On Tuesday, Sudosa-Desto will be told by the Dutch Volleyball Association (Nevobo) whether they may be promoted to the Eredivisie. The club has also decided to play the last game of the competition on April 23. The Nevobo has placed the responsibility for completing the competition with the clubs themselves. Sudosa-Desto will play the squatter at home against Veracles in two weeks. This evening, among other things, the farewell of trainer Lesley de Jonge will be commemorated and any promotion will be celebrated.
