At his own request, sports director Stefan Kuntz is resigning from his position at HSV. A big blow for Hamburg, who still see themselves in a good position.

He was popular in Hamburg from the start, close to the fans and the players. Stefan Kuntz’s time at Hamburger SV is now ending for family reasons.
We are complying with Stefan Kuntz’s wish for an early termination of the contract and also an immediate release from his duties. Whatever the reasons for this are, we fully respect Stefan’s desire for privacy.
Kuntz helped HSV achieve their long-awaited promotion to the Bundesliga last year. His role in Hamburg was significant, both personally and sportingly.
Of course, his experience helped us a lot. And on the other hand, and this was also important to Stefan in the communication we had, he is also sure that we were able to draw a lot from the experiences we have had together and learn from them in the future. We also know how strong HSV is.
At the first training session without art, there is only one topic of conversation among the Hamburg fans.

And if something bad happens, keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well.
For the moment, those responsible for the club believe they are well positioned. There is unlikely to be a quick successor for Stefan Kuntz.
