Sudden turn Linda de Mol leads to mistrust: ‘Very strange’

The sudden turn of Linda de Mol in the Voice file leads to distrust among almost all show connoisseurs. Dirty Jeroentje said she knew about it. We’re not falling for this, Lin.”

After eight months, Linda de Mol suddenly claims that she has never known anything about the misbehavior of her (ex) sweetheart Jeroen Rietbergen behind the scenes of The Voice of Holland. That is strange, because Jeroen himself claimed something completely different in his statement in January. The statement that is still on Linda’s own website state.

‘Linda notified’

Jeroen eight months ago: “I should never have done the things I’ve done. Of course I also made a mistake with regard to my family and my client. I have been very aware of all this for a number of years, from the moment that I was strictly addressed about my behavior by my client (John de Mol, ed.).

He continues: “I then informed my wife with great shame. As a result, our relationship ended and we broke up, with great sadness for my family. It was more than clear to me that my behavior towards a number of people had been intolerable, but also that I would not be able to resolve it without professional help.”

What does Linda say now?

And what does Linda suddenly say, eight months later, in her comeback column? “I literally could not comprehend that part of the blame was placed on me due to an incorrect sentence in Jeroen’s statement. I knew, and I swear to both my children, about nothing at The Voice.”

A wrong sentence? The whole foundation of Jeroen’s statement would then no longer be correct. “Dear Lin, Dirty Jeroentje isn’t going to throw any statements into the world without his approval from you, is he? We don’t fall for that”, juice queen Yvonne Coldeweijer responds The Juice Show.

Rob critical

RTL Boulevard star Rob Goossens doubts Linda. “If you then go back to Jeroen’s statement, it is not an incorrect sentence, but a rather long fragment,” he says in RTL Boulevard. “When I read this, I already think: how is it possible that Linda didn’t say: ‘Jeroen is lying! He didn’t come to me at all!’”

Rob: “Apparently they have not split up, apparently Jeroen has not been in therapy for long, because that is all related to that confession. Of course I want to know the best of that. This statement was sent at the time and I assume also modeled by lawyer Peter Plasman. I called him and he says, ‘I’m not going to respond to it.’”

Angela surprised

RTL Boulevard reporter Aran Bade thinks it is suspicious. “That sentence is not just written down in a statement.”

If Linda does speak the truth, then it is still a strange story, says Angela de Jong. “What about what she thinks is ‘wrong sentence’ in Jeroen’s official statement, who reported that Linda was aware of a number of missteps? Then why did he write it down?” she wonders in the AD.

Misconduct Ali B

And Linda knew ‘nothing at all on The Voice’? In any case, she had known about Ali B’s misconduct for a year and a half. She also repeats that in the same comeback column: “At the express wish of two alleged victims of Ali B, I really kept that confidential.”

That remains a common argument from Linda, according to Aran. She should have intervened, he thinks. “Linda, of course, knew a few things and did not take certain actions. If I heard: ‘Hey, there’s a lot wrong with Ali B’, I would have said to my brother: ‘Keep him out of your programs for a while.’”

Afraid of Linda

Finally, Aran subtly points out that the alleged victims of Jeroen, with whom he is in contact, are also afraid of Linda.

“They are still afraid of Talpa. That culture of fear is so deep in it because they feel that Linda is also part of a larger whole, namely the De Mol family.”
