An eyeglass style expert comments on Stubb’s new frames.

President of the Republic Alexander Stubb went public with his new style of glasses over the weekend in Kultaranta. Stubb had renewed his frame, which was also confirmed to Iltalehti by the office of the President of the Republic.
The new eyeglass frames are translucent plastic cups with a round shape. In the past, Stubb has used dark frames.
We asked Synsam’s optician and style expert Maarit from Hungary opinion about Stubb’s new glasses.
– I think it’s a very successful choice. The dimensions of the frame are good. There is a good balance in width and height on the face, their size and style are well thought out, says Unkuri.

Trendy translucent
There are currently a lot of transparent frame styles available.
– Transparency brings freshness to the face. It goes with many clothes and doesn’t take too much attention. In my opinion, Stubb’s choice of frame also thought out the color very nicely. His frames seem to be from the Oakley collection, which of course suits our sporty president well, since Oakley is a sports brand.
In Unkur’s opinion, the round shape of Stubb’s frames conveys sympathy.
– He is such a charismatic person himself that the frames don’t have to be eye-catching. This is a very good style for her. The glasses have a relaxed spirit, but they are still practical. He doesn’t need more authority through glasses. The more relaxed glasses do not take away his credibility in any way.
– There has been a very skilled colleague there, Unkuri praises.

In personal style
Unkuri advises you to consult a professional at an optician’s shop when choosing glasses. There are thousands of different frames available, so choosing among them without help can be challenging.
– It can be terribly difficult to take the right size frame from the shelf yourself.
It is important that the width and height of the frame are suitable for your own face, so that they have the right balance.
– For example, there is a suitable round frame for everyone, as long as it is the right size.
According to Unkur, the way the glasses sit on the nose is also important. If the nose is very low, nose pads are needed to get the glasses to the right height.
– The fit and how the glasses feel on the head is important. There are a lot of models, colors and shapes. Everyone doesn’t have to follow the same fashion, but everyone can find the right glasses for their own personal style and personality.
