Turkish Gymnastics Federation President Suat Çelen made a statement to İhlas News Agency (İHA) before the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to be held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, between 19-25 October. Making evaluations about Turkish gymnastics and the Artistic Gymnastics World Championship, President Çelen stated that they will participate in the organization with an ambitious group of athletes.

Emphasizing that their goal in the championship is to make it to the finals, President Suat Çelen said, “Turkish gymnastics now goes to all the competitions it participates in for medals. We expect finals and medals, especially from Adem Asil and Ferhat Arıcan. In addition, we have athletes participating in the world championship for the first time. They will also strive to make the finals. Our female athletes will also work to get closer to the finals in line with the goal they have set, and at least 1-2 of our athletes will chase the chance for the finals. I hope that at the end of the day, our athletes will be the ones smiling with their achievements. Our country will be happy and victorious. “I hope our athletes will wave our flag,” he said.
