Sturm Graz wins the ÖFB Cup – Rapid’s dry spell continues

Sturm Graz has won the Austrian Football Cup for the sixth time. The team from Styria defeated Rapid Wien 2-0 (0-0) in the final in Klagenfurt.

The record champions from the capital are still waiting for their first cup win since 1995.

Manprit Sarkaria (65’/84′) scored twice for Graz, who had eliminated defending champions Red Bull Salzburg on penalties in the quarter-finals. In the championship, too, SK Sturm still has a chance of winning the title as they are second in the table and only three points behind series winner Salzburg.
