“Students must first learn to read and calculate”: Norway bans AI from primary schools

The Norwegian government bans AI in primary schools. Students only have access to AI tools from secondary education onwards. Norway wants to reverse the declining school results. “We must prioritize the most important things: students must learn to read, write and calculate before using AI,” Education Minister Kari Nessa Nordtun said in a press release.
