On December 10, hundreds of Sparta supporters said goodbye to Wout Holverda, the striker who scored 56 times for the Rotterdam club in 136 games with torches and a guard of honour. As important as he was to Sparta in the late 1970s, early 1980s, Sparta became so important to him in the last years of his life.
