Hamburger SV and Robert Glatzel have agreed on an early contract extension. The 28-year-old will stay until 2025 – and can continue to play a part in the fight for promotion to the Bundesliga.
Second division club Hamburger SV can plan their fifth attempt to return to the Bundesliga with top scorer Robert Glatzel. The 28-year-old extended his contract early until June 30, 2025. The striker scored 22 league goals last season and was the top scorer in the DFB Cup with five goals.

“Every one of my 41 games so far has been special. That’s why I’m looking forward to everything that comes next,” said Glatzel, who switched to the Hanseatic League from Cardiff City in Wales a year ago.
HSV sports director Jonas Boldt was also satisfied with Glatzel’s new contract: “Robert is very important to our team in terms of sport and personality.”
