Strike in public transport: not all buses are running, (almost) all trains are

Regional transport is on strike today. It is the second day of a series of strike days, spread over six weeks. That is why not all Qbuzz buses run in Drenthe. The trains of Arriva and NS do run normally in Drenthe.

In the morning, some Arriva trains were canceled due to a miscommunication with a driver, who thought he was going to strike today, but was mistaken for a day. From 8.30 am, according to Arriva, all trains will run according to the timetable again.

Bus drivers are on strike because of the deadlocked collective labor agreement negotiations. For the collective labor agreement, which covers about 13,000 employees nationwide and bus drivers in particular, FNV and CNV demand a wage increase of almost seventeen percent over a year and a wage increase of fourteen percent spread over eighteen months.

Qbuzz advises travelers to use the travel planner shortly before departure. Local buses are still running.

After today, there will be strikes on several days: Friday March 10, Tuesday March 14, Wednesday March 15, Monday March 20, Wednesday March 22, Friday March 24, Wednesday March 29, Thursday March 30, Monday April 3, Wednesday April 5 and Friday April 7.

It differs per day which parts of the regional transport will go on strike.
