Consultations did not result in reconciliation on Thursday evening after five hours of meetings, according to trade unions and management. The strike will therefore continue, the unions say.
During the consultation, owner Jan Clarebout made a “final proposal”, according to the company. Employees with a permanent contract receive a premium of 500 euros net. Anyone with ten years’ seniority or more will receive a premium of 750 euros net. And from 20 years of seniority, this becomes a net thousand euros.
