Strike at Soenen corrugated cardboard continues
Trade unions and management are diametrically opposed to each other in negotiations for better pay and working conditions.
The strike at Soenen broke out last Thursday, and just under 100 of the 240 workers have been on strike ever since. The unions want fewer temporary workers and better wages. They also demand more respect from the employer. An earlier meeting with the management failed. The strike continues, but according to the company, the demands of the unions are unrealistic.
