For the first time, Virtual Reality was used for a reconstruction in a murder investigation. The Antwerp public prosecutor confirms this. Two of the three suspects in the Heidi De Schepper case showed before where they had buried her. But the days-long excavation works did not yield any results, so the suspects were given up with a new interrogation VR glasses in the hope of finding the exact location. “The Poeierstraat from 2010 was fully recreated,” says the public prosecutor.
