Inspired by comfort and function, this season’s Fall/Winter Collection 2022/23 is again divided into three themes that are perfectly coordinated. The looks are broken up by the interplay of casual elements and classic cuts, which combine to create an individual look.
“La Suisse”, an extension of “Swiss Mountaineering”, the successful outdoor part of the Fall/Winter 2021/22 collection, is inspired by active sports such as running, skiing or snowboarding. The collection is dominated by functional jersey and wool fabrics as well as natural bi- and 4-way stretch materials. Fleece, light twills as well as nylons, softshell, merino, viscose, mesh and a material mix of leather and knitwear are also used. While the material mix extends across all product groups, smart details offer additional functionality; technical prints and badges, Aqua Guard zips, reflective elements and multifunctional packable modular systems are skilfully integrated into the collection. In addition, sustainable yarns, (graphene) fillings and treatments are increasingly being used. Tones such as snow white, shades of gray and a deep black form the color basis and are accentuated by the color of the Swiss flag, a strong red. Exciting breaks are created by the cross-product use of digital prints, camouflage elements and high-contrast as well as tonal color blocks. The result is a collection where utility and functional, hidden details meet and is therefore predestined for active men. A special highlight is that selected jacket styles are equipped with an almost indestructible SIGG bottle.
The “Craving for Nature” collection theme is characterized by function, utility elements and workwear details and is inspired by the unique nature of the Swiss Alps. Accordingly, the use of multifunctional fabrics, waterproof and windproof finishes as well as cargo, hiking and military details play a central role. In addition to large statement pockets and multi-pocketing, drawstrings, asymmetrical closures and striking badges give the collection its own character. The authentic, natural look is determined by materials – like a mix – such as light nylons, mesh, (technical) canvas, twills and felted wool fabrics, flannel, lambskin or leather. In addition, large check, Norwegian and all-over camouflage patterns as well as patchworks come into focus. The basic color palette is determined by brown, dark olive and jet black, while accents are set with yellow nuances, such as the color arrowwood. A special color highlight is the bronze-colored contrasting lining, which is used.
The centerpiece is the Archive Capsule with a military coat, a parka and a pea coat made of loden in olive green and its own labelling. The capsule is inspired by iconic Strellson styles of the last decades and takes the strength and brand DNA to revitalize it with a new zeitgeist.
Collection theme number three “Let the good times roll” is a homage to the 70s and transports the lightness and carefreeness of this time into the year 2022. The picture is dominated by corduroy fabrics, velvets, satin, fustagno, bouclé, piece-dyed gabardines and lambswool cashmere fabrics. Colored denims, velor leather, jacquards and tweed also play an important role. Brushed finishes, washed leather and natural garment dyes give the collection an authentic look and thus enrich the collection statement. Warm tones such as bombay brown, java and beige nuances characterize the image of the collection, while blue tones such as vintage indigo and dark navy form the accent colors. In addition to checks, vertical color blocks and stripes, paisleys and prints inspired by wallpapers from the 70s complete the overall picture. In addition, college elements such as striped cuffs, raglan sleeves, badges, embroidery and contrasting seams play a central role. The collection is rounded off by matching accessories such as hats, gloves, boots, loafers and leather bracelets.
