The Croystraat, Mathenessestraat and surrounding streets in Breda were white on Sunday afternoon after a water supply break. Residents of the neighborhood stood to the ankles in the water and drove the mobility scooter through a big lake. The leak in the lead was poem after an hour.

According to Brabant Water, a transport pipeline of forty centimeters thick has jumped due to a previously unknown cause.

A lot of pressure
“That is a big leadership that has a lot of pressure on it, which is why so much water flowed on the streets,” says spokesperson Wouter Kempenaar of Brabant Water.

The company received the first reports around noon. The engineers were immediately sent to Breda and had closed the leak within an hour.

“The management is quickly made completely, preferably today,” says the spokesperson. Residents were bothered by the leak.

Water to the basement
The water stood at some houses up to the basement. Enforcers had closed several streets that were white with water.

In a number of houses, residents had no running water. Yet the water also caused fun with some children playing.
