“The photos are spectacular, but the fire was small,” says the spokesperson for the Gooi and Vechtstreek Safety Region. “There was more smoke than fire,” he added. The small fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.
The road was temporarily closed. The municipality has now collected the enormous mountain of waste. It is not clear how the fire in the garbage truck started.
