The regional league duel between Halle and Leipzig has remained without a winner. After the 0-0 there were riots and chaotic scenes.

Hallesche FC and Chemie Leipzig have separated 0-0 in the Regionalliga North East. After the final whistle, followers of the HFC stormed the lawn and started to Leipzig players. These fled into the player tunnel, where security forces locked the area, the Halle police report and the “Bild” newspaper.

The situation only calmed down when the police intervened in large numbers. Previously, chemistry trainer Miro Alipour described the heated mood in the stadium as special motivation: “Even if you come by bus, fly the beer cups to the bus, you will be welcomed with wonderful gestures. That motivates,” quotes him “Bild”. The association from Halle must now expect consequences. After the game, the police reported nine bodily harm, four property damage, an assault on enforcement officers and an insult.

According to the police, a home fan was injured by a fireworks rocket fired from the guest block on the leg and a folder from a flagpole on the head. Furthermore, after the end of the game, a home fan injured himself during the disputes in the stadium. The three people had to be brought to clinics for further treatment.

In front of 12,166 spectators, Leipzig added the first loss of points to the previously unbeaten leaders. The game started with firecrackers and pyrotechnics in the guest block, and the field also got down to business on the field. In the first 30 minutes, the referee distributed six yellow cards.

Halle barely found the game in a playful way and had problems building his attack. Leipzig relied on a lot of effort and bothered the favorite early. A deflected shot from Terrence Akono remained the hosts’ only chance of scoring in the first half.
