The fire broke out around 7.45 pm in a storage space on the Zuiderdacht in Oosterblokker. It is a business building that is divided into different storage boxes.
Around 10.30 pm the fire brigade got the fire under control. The storage space is completely burned out.
A lot of smoke has been released during the fire. The Safety Region has distributed an NL-Alert because the smoke is heading over the nearby N-506 direction Wijdenes.
Book collector
One of the people who lost stuff in the fire is Rene Kramer. He rented a box for his painting company. “I had just laid my things there last Wednesday. The realization that I have lost everything has to be descended.”
Kramer finds it particularly annoying for the owners of the barn. “They maintained the storage space very well, there was just a new roof on it. I have a lot to do with them.”
“Many people have lost their things. In addition to me, a book collector rented a box, there was a funeral company, a street maker and another painting company. The entire building has now burned out.”
