Ex-Prince Andrew was arrested earlier today on suspicion of abuse of office.
Andrew’s brother, King Charles, has now commented on the completely extraordinary arrest.
– It is with deep concern that I learned the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the suspected official misconduct. Next up is a fair and just process, which the authorities are investigating, Charles says in his announcement, which Sky News cites.
Charles emphasizes that the authorities will receive all possible support. Charles has said this before.
Charles says that during the process it is not right for him to comment further on the matter.

The police have recently been investigating the claims made about Andrew related to the Epstein documents. Andrew is known to have been in close contact with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein with.
Andrew has been at the center of controversy for years because of the Epstein connections. She lost all her royal titles late last year.
So Andrew is only suspected of abuse of office, no charges have been brought against him so far.
The Daily Mail writes that it is one of the most serious criminal charges under British law. Its maximum penalty is life imprisonment.
Andrew does not receive exceptional protection in the legal system on the basis that he is a member of the royal family, but his case is treated like any other citizen’s case.
According to the Daily Mail, Andrew can be held in police custody for a maximum of 24 hours, and in exceptional cases up to 96 hours, before charges are brought against him or he is released.
Andrew is the first British royal in modern times to be arrested.
