Stone throwers terrorize Kortrijk neighborhood
Not only houses, but also local residents themselves are the target of the stone throwers. Last weekend they almost hit a woman on a terrace. The stone breaks her glass. Jean-Philippe Vrijghem: “We have already been pelted, the neighbours, almost all the neighbours. It started with ice cubes, then small pebbles, then large pebbles. And then large stones.”
There is currently no trace of the perpetrators. In the neighborhood they think they are loitering youths. The police are stepping up checks. And they too have already been pelted. Thomas Detavernier, Police Zone Vlas: “It has escalated somewhat in the last week and a half. We have also been on site a few times in the evening, at night, even with a drone.”
