The ballot boxes for choose your squatter are open on Monday morning at eleven past nine to determine what the carnival cracker of 2025 will be. 33 songs have been nominated that can now be voted on by the public. And who knows, your favorite song will run away with the coveted trophy!
In the radio program Keigoeiemorgen morning, the nominated carnival numbers were announced on Monday morning from seven o’clock for choose your squatter. Eleven minutes after nine hours the list of 33 numbers is complete and you can vote.
Record number of songs
The jury had a lot of work this year to do through the record number of carnival numbers that Omroep Brabant received. 33 songs had to be chosen from the more than three hundred entries. That is more than twenty hours of carnival music together. Eventually in a six -hour session 33 carnival number were chosen by the jury that can be voted on.
Also this year there are two voting rounds to determine the winner of Kies your squatter. The first round lasts until next Friday, February 21, 5.11 pm.
22 carnival numbers that have had the least voices then fall off. The 11 most popular songs then compete for the coveted title. This eleven can vote until Thursday 27 February, 7.50 p.m. The ballot boxes are finally closed that day in an extra radio program on Omroep Brabant.
Carnival
One of the biggest changes this year was the use of artificial intelligence (AI). That is a computer system that takes care of the text, melody and singing.
More than twenty songs arrived at the jury that were made partly or even completely by AI. The songs where the singing was done by AI are all filtered out. The winning song must be sung live at 3 hours Vurraf. Because during the official start of carnival at Omroep Brabant, the winner of Kies Kraker is traditionally announced.

Winning your Kraker is not only a huge honor, but can also be the start or a big boost of a career.
