The Aosta Valley triumphs to the national teams in Trentino-Alto Adige: it will represent Italy at the Milan World Cup on 24 and 25 October

Italy has its face for the World Cup of the Sports Wood in Milan, scheduled for 24 and 25 October at the Allianz Cloud Arena. This is Michel Perrin, a fresh Italian champion of the National Competition by Stihl Timbersports. The Aosta Valley yesterday triumphed against the best eleven Italian athletes in the Pro category at the Sudtirol Arena in Anterselva, breaking three personal records. In the UnderHand Chop discipline, in addition, Perrin has established the new national record with a time of 20.27 seconds.

“It was an intense but full of satisfaction day of the race,” says the Italian Necochetus Perrin. “I worked hard to get ready for this moment, driven by the passion for this sport and also from the very high level of my companions. Representing Italy at the next World Championship in Milan will be a real honor, and I will give myself all to keep our flag high in this discipline that is conquering more and more passionate in our country.”

The Rookie’s Cup and Women’s Cup competitions were also staged in Anterselva, who saw the Swiss Romain Bertolet and Swedish Tove Njastad respectively prevail. Second place, however, for Marta Poletti, champion last year: for her the satisfaction of establishing national records in the standing block Chop and Single Buck disciplines. Now the next appointment is the Milan World Cup, which will gather the numerous enthusiasts of this discipline at the Allianz Cloud Arena, capable in recent years of having a considerable growth. The two days of Stihl Timbersports World Championships 2025 will award the titles of “Team World Champion” (Friday 24 October) and “Individual World Champion” (Saturday 25 October). The eyes will all be focused on Michel Perrin, ready to defend the colors of Italy of the landlord.
