Stellantis, in France 2,600 voluntary exits in the two-year period 2022-2023

A plan has been presented to the unions which provides for 1,300 voluntary departures per year for 2022 and 2023. The company states: “There is no question of layoffs”

One year after the birth of Stellantis after the merger of FCA and PSA, union sources announce that the automotive group plans to leave 2,600 voluntary exits in France, 1,300 in 2022 and the same number in 2023. The plan underlines the manufacturer’s willingness to renew the agreement on the consensual termination of employment contracts (Accord de rupture conventionnelle collective) which will expire on March 31st and which has already led to the departure of 1,380 French employees in 2021. “This is not in any way a question of dismissals, but of voluntary departures. there is no direct suppression of jobs “, explained the sources inside Stellantis interviewed by Ansa in Paris.

The decline of the market in Italy

While in France we are discussing with the trade unions, the data relating to registrations arrive in our country, where registrations of the brands that make up the Stellantis universe stood at 38,593 units, with a sharp decrease of 26.7% compared to the same period. The minus sign, however, involves the entire automotive sector which, according to data published by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, registered 109,008 new registrations, with a difference compared to the same month of 2021 which stands at – 19.7%.
