Stefania makes special European Championship song for football players Orange

Stefania has made a special song for the Dutch football players in the run-up to the European Championship in England. Her song Run Together will be played on Radio 538 for the first time on Friday morning. A day later, 19-year-old Stefania, who became internationally known last year for her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Greece, sings the song after the so-called goodbye match of Orange against Finland.

Run Together is the anthem of the ‘Lionesses’ for the European Championship in England. The football players made an important contribution to the song. Together with producer Fraasie, the Utrecht singer Stefania organized a writer’s evening during a training camp of Orange. During that evening, the players were instructed to write down what they feel when they play a match. The answers were used as inspiration for the song.

“No matter how the rhythm goes, I got power in my bones. When we run together, we will never be alone”, can be heard in the chorus that the Orange fans and the players hope to sing as often as possible during the European Championship. The team of national coach Mark Parsons starts the tournament on Saturday 9 July. The football players defend the European title in England that they conquered in their own country in 2017.

Stefania, who, in addition to being a singer, also works as an actress and TV presenter, is a big football fan and says she will follow the European Championship closely. “To now be able to release the official anthem for the European Championship 2022 is an incredible honor. Two of my passions come together in this: football and music,” she says.
