A National Football Team drew 1-1 with Armenia in the 5th match of 2024 European Championship Group D.
A National Team Coach Stefan Kuntz made statements after the match.
HERE ARE KUNTZ’S WORDS:
The issue that we can see positive is that the team did not quit until the end. What we can see as negative is that our shortcomings were reflected on the field today.
After halftime, our players had a low self-confidence. We conceded a goal as a result of a missed ball. However, the team tried to resist and after the 8th or 9th position we were able to score.
In the first half, we actually showed the game we wanted. We had 5-6 positions. I can only criticize our inability to score in the first half.
If you are drawing 1-1 with Armenia here, you definitely need to be self-critical.
I try to analyze calmly and make the right decision on the sidelines. I think we did our best.
