They received some criticism, but Mia Nicolai and Dion Cooper have arrived in Liverpool with an adapted song to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest. Do they stand a chance?
The singing duo had no quiet preparation so far. Nicolai and Cooper have been under fire in recent weeks because they were unable to convince during two performances at Eurovision pre-parties in Madrid and Amsterdam and made some vocal slips.
But they changed their song: they sing Burning daylight during the first semi-final, in which they compete with 14 other countries for a total of ten final tickets, one and a half octaves lower.
Whether the Netherlands will reach the final seems to be exciting based on the bookmakers. The betting offices expect that the two will just not make it.
