Federico Valverde, the Uruguayan football player of the Spanish team Real Madrid, will be away from the fields for about 2 weeks. In the club’s statement, it was stated that Valverde had a head injury as a result of the tests performed by the medical team. It was stated that the experienced football player is in good condition and will rest at home for 10 to 14 days.
Real Madrid Club confirmed the allegations that Valverde and French football player Aurelien Tchouameni fought in training and in the dressing room and announced that it opened a disciplinary investigation against these players.
It was claimed in the Spanish press that there had been great tension between Tchouameni and Valverde in training for the last two days, and that yesterday’s tension continued in training today and turned into a fight in the locker room. It was claimed that Valverde had stitches in the hospital due to a blow he received and went home.
VALVERDE: “MY TEAMMATE DID NOT HIT ME, AND I DID NOT HIT HIM”
Confirming that he had an argument with his teammate, Valverde stated that the argument did not result in a fight.
Valverde made the following statements in his post on his US-based social media platform Instagram account:
“Yesterday, I had an incident with my teammate at a position in training. Fatigue and frustration can make some things seem bigger than they are. Today we had an argument again. During the argument, I accidentally hit a table and had a small cut on my forehead. That’s why I had to go to the hospital as per protocol. My teammate did not hit me in any way, and I did not hit him. I know it is easy for people to believe that we were fighting or that the incident was intentional, but nothing like this happened.”
