Statement from Mehmet Kasapoğlu, Minister of Youth and Sports! – Breaking Football news

Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu published a statement on his social media account.

Minister Kasapoğlu’s statement is as follows:

As a country and nation; In this period when we are experiencing one of the greatest disasters in history, our state and our nation have joined hands and demonstrated an unwavering will to heal our wounds. The past three weeks have shown that; as these lands share the happiness of good days together; He will be able to come out of the bad days as a unit.

From the first moment of this great disaster, the world of sports has been one heart. Sports has fulfilled its mission of being a bridge that unites in this difficult process in the strongest way. The sports community took part in the race for total goodness; Regardless of colour, coat of arms or form, hearts moved together. This exemplary stance has shown to the whole world that there is competition with one side of sports, but that it contains friendship and brotherhood on its basis.

Our country will need this spirit of unity and the healing power of sports even more in the process when we will continue to heal the wounds of the earthquake. However, as in every difficult period, it is seen that some interest groups did not remain idle in this great disaster, while the sports communities and all clubs were united, some engaged in purposeful provocations. Sports fields are not political fields. Sports competitions are not centers of policy making. There is no other result of using sports as a political tool other than hindering unity and solidarity. We will continue to heal the wounds of this painful disaster with the solidarity of the century, and we will overcome the difficult days together as the public, private sector, civil society and nation. We will never allow provocations either.

All clubs and real sports fans fulfill this mission properly and sign partnerships that give strength to 85 million people. I reiterate that we need the unifying power of sports even more, especially in such difficult and troubled days, and once again I offer my condolences to our beloved nation.
