The club’s statement is as follows:
The public is aware of the sensitivity about all buildings after the devastating earthquakes and heavy losses in our country.
At this point, it became necessary to inform about some of the comments that came to the agenda about our stadium and club headquarters Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.
First of all, the news and discourses about the fact that the structure that has been put forward about our stadium for a while does not reflect the truth.
All necessary controls and repairs are carried out regularly in our stadium. Within the scope of regular periodic repairs and renewals, the space roof and steel system, earthquake seismic isolators carrying the roof, and roof membranes were renewed with the work started in the summer of 2022.
Necessary controls and inspections are carried out by our club within the scope of building inspection, and up-to-date reports on the status of the building are received from Turkey’s leading institutions.
Although there is no detection of a violation of the regulations that must be complied with in the aforementioned reports; No deformation or damage has been reported since the year our stadium was completed.
In addition, all the structural strength reports received so far, belonging to Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex, are shared with the relevant authorities by our Club.
After the earthquake on February 6, 2023, our Club started an earthquake performance analysis process to cover all its facilities and all the structures it houses.
In this context, a written application was made to the Rectorate of Istanbul Technical University on March 17, 2023 and a new earthquake performance analysis study was requested.
The process of determining the earthquake safety of buildings and facilities belonging to Fenerbahçe Sports Club and its affiliated companies is carried out in this direction.
Therefore, the process is carefully followed by us; The reports we will obtain at the end of the relevant processes will be shared with our community and the public.
Within the scope of this information, it reminds that speculative statements without a basis should not be respected; We are calling on the claimants, who have made statements that our stadium is not solid and that there are problems with the ground, to share these reports and who the people who signed these reports are with the entire public, taking into account the public interest.
Otherwise, we would like to state that we will take legal action due to unfounded statements.
