His Majesty the King and her Majesty Queen Máxima pay a state visit to the Czech Republic at the invitation of President Petr Petr. The visit takes place on Wednesday 4 June and Thursday 5 June. The royal couple is supervised by Minister of Foreign Affairs Veldkamp. Minister Brekelmans of Defense and Minister of Economic Affairs also participate in the state visit.
The state visit is a perpetuation of the friendship bond between the two countries. The Netherlands and the Czech Republic are partners with shared values, shared history and joint priorities in various fields and work closely together within the European Union and NATO. The countries pull together, learn from each other and reinforce each other. During the visit, among other things, cooperation in the field of defense industry, trade promotion, energy security and transition, and increasing social resilience are central.
Under the leadership of Minister Beljaarts, an economic program takes place on, among other things, sustainable mobility, digitization and circularity.
