State of emergency ceased to operate in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan ended the state of emergency, which was introduced on January 5 throughout the country due to rallies. The fact that the mode will be canceled from midnight on January 19 (21:00 Moscow time), earlier informed Press Secretary of the President of Kazakhstan Berik Uali on Facebook.

“On January 19, after midnight, that is, from 00:00, emergency situations will be eliminated in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, as well as in Almaty, Atyrau, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Mangistau regions,” Uali wrote. These regions were the last where the state of emergency was not lifted.

The first regions of the country where the state of emergency was lifted were West Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan and Pavlodar. The regime ceased to operate there on January 13. From January 14, it was canceled in Turkestan, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan regions and the city of Shymkent, from January 15 – in Akmola and Kostanay regions, from January 16 – in Aktobe.
