State broadcaster Tanzania reports election win for incumbent president after unrest that killed hundreds

Tanzania’s current president, Samia Suluhu Hassan, has won the country’s elections by a wide margin, according to state television. The broadcaster reported on Saturday that Hassan received at least 95 percent of the votes in all constituencies. There are massive violent protests in the country over the state of affairs. According to the opposition, at least seven hundred people have already died.
