The FC arsenal has to kick off the new Premier League-Season celebrated the first sense of achievement. But that was hard fought.
In the London City Derby they sat down “Gunner” versus Crystal Palace with 2:0 (1:0) through. The Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli made it 1-0 (20′), Marc Guehi also scored an own goal (85).
Arsenal top of the season thanks to win against Palace
Mikel Arteta’s men dominated the game early on and were rewarded by Martinelli’s close-range opener from a corner kick. In the second half, Palace started the game much better, but missed the deserved equalizer before the decision was made shortly before the end.
Arsenal are the first leaders of the new season. The FC Liverpool and team manager Jürgen Klopp will meet newly promoted FC in their first game on Saturday (08/06/2022). Fulhamdefending champion Manchester City gets it the next day West Ham United to do.
