Sergei Polunin (35), former star of The Royal Ballet in London, has announced that he is leaving Russia with his family. The Ukrainian-Russian dancer, known for his tattoos of Vladimir Putin, was once an outspoken supporter of Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea and its “special military operation” in Ukraine. This position aroused additional controversy, as Polunin himself was born in Ukraine.
