The former keeper of Ajax, Lierse SK and PSV, among others, also has a lot of experience as a trainer. He started in 2002 as a trainer of AGOVV. This was followed by clubs such as FC Volendam, SC Cambuur and Lierse SK. He was also a trainer of second divisionist AFC for two periods. The last position Menzo held was interim national coach and technical manager of Aruba.

Suriname has great ambitions and is eager to qualify for a World Cup. Lately, football has been getting a boost there. Many football players with Surinamese roots choose to play for the South American country. Ajax player Sean Klaiber and former AZ player Ridgeciano Haps, among others, did that.
