Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the New sticker on T-Online you will find all the important messages about the “red pants”.

St. Pauli’s defense chief Hauke Wahl looks forward to the upcoming Bundesliga season-and especially the duels with the HSV. “I was looking forward to the derbies,” said the defender in an interview with the “kicker”.

The native of Hamburg considers that the Hanseatic city is first class with two clubs: “I think this situation is good for the entire city and both clubs.” The Bundesliga gives the derby another stage. “As a genuine Hamburg, I find it very special to be able to say that Hamburg is the number 1 football city,” said the 31-year-old.

Hauke Wahl also emphasized the sporting ambitions of FC St. Pauli: “Of course we want to stand in front of HSV at the end. We can be confident with a view to recent development.”

The first derby will increase on matchday 2: On August 29 (8.30 p.m.), the HSV welcomes the city rivals in the Volksparkstadion.

Hamburger SV has added to the Bundesliga mission on the transfer market. The Hanseatic League announced the commitment of central defender Warmed Omari on Thursday. The 25-year-old changes to the Elbe from the French first division club Stade Rennes.

Claus Costa, Director of Sport, is looking forward to a “modern central defender with an interesting profile.” HSV board member Stefan Kuntz is also convinced that Omari can be reinforcement in the defense center. “With WarmED we were able to win a player for us who has already gained a lot of experience in Ligue 1 and in European competitions. At the same time, he still has development potential,” he says.

For Omari, the HSV change means the first station outside of France. The defensive player was trained at Stade Rennes and returned to his youth club this summer after a one -year detour to Olympique Lyon. Now the HSV continues for one year. In total, he has the experience of 76 Ligue-1 and 10 Europa League games. Its market value is estimated by the data portal “Transfermarkt.de” to three million euros.

Not only Warmed Omari should be about to switch to HSV – the signature of right -back Giorgi Gocholeishvili is also expected promptly. According to matching information from “Abendblatt” and “Mopo”, the 24 -year -old Georgian (14 international matches) is said to complete the medical check in Hamburg on Wednesday, just like Omari.
