The spring break starts on Friday afternoon in the northern part of the Netherlands. Students in Noord-Holland, Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel and the vast majority of Flevoland are a week off. The Gelderse municipality of Hattem and Eemnes and Abcoude in Utrecht also fall under the Noord region.
