It’s that time again: Spotify has published its annual review for 2023. We can finally reflect on our streaming habits over the past few months. The music streaming platform has previously provided information about the most popular songs, artists and albums both internationally and in Germany.
Taylor Swift broke a record straight away. This year, she became the world’s most streamed and first female artist to reach the top with over 26.1 billion streams. In recent years, Bad Bunny has secured this place, which will have to move to second place in 2023. The most streamed song of 2023 is “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus with more than 1.6 billion streams worldwide. Bad Bunny’s album UN VERANO SIN TI remains at the top of the most played albums internationally with 4.5 billion streams.

Apache 207 is Germany’s Artist of the Year
Apache 207 secured first place among the top artists in Germany this year, followed by Bonez MC in second place and Taylor Swift in third place. The newcomer AYLIVA has delivered the most successful album of the year with SCHWARZES HERZ. The most successful song of 2023 comes from Udo Lindenberg and Apache 207, who released their song “Komet” at the beginning of the year.
