Shortly after Taylor Swift her twelfth album “The Life of a Showgirl” Fans discovered mysterious advertising boards in New York City and Nashville. These referred to a new Spotify playlist. She is entitled “And, Baby, That’s Show Business for You”.

Success duo and new musical section

Curated by Swift personally, the playlist contains 22 songs from previous publications. Starting with “22” and ending with “Wonderland”. All titles were produced by Max Martin and Shellback, who were already involved in “Red”, “1989” and “Reputation”. Although Swift has only revealed a few details about “The Life of A Showgirl”, many fans suspect that the producer duo will be there again this time.

Martin and Shellback were responsible for some of Swift’s greatest hits. Including “We are never ever Getting Back Together”, “Bad Blood” and “Shake it off”. They helped significantly to switch from country to the pop sound on the album “Red”, which was released in 2012. In recent times, Swift mainly worked with Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. Among other things for “The Tortured Poets Department” in the previous year.

Yesterday evening Swift officially announced her upcoming twelfth studio album “The Life of a Showgirl”. She initiated her next musical era. The unveiling took place in a teaser for the “New Heights” podcast. In it, Swift sits next to her friend and podcast moderator Travis Kelce and opens a mint green case with orange initials. “I wanted to show you something,” she says to his brother Jason Kelce. “This is my brand new album. ‘The Life of a Showgirl’.” The album cover is out of focus in the clip. The unveiling follows in the actual podcast episode.

Publication awaited in autumn

An official release date is still pending, but a lot indicates an autumn date. On Swift website, buyers of the vinyl version are assured that it is sent “before October 13, 200”-with the note “This is not the date of publication”.

The podcast episode with Swift will be released on Wednesday, August 13th. Fans were heard on Monday morning when New Heights hinted at a special gastin announcement – which finally turned out to be Taylor Swift.
