SPORTS NEWS – Jaap Uilenberg resigned from TFF MHK Education Consultancy!

Dutch former referee Jaap Uilenberg, the Education Consultant of the Central Referee Board of the Turkish Football Federation, announced his resignation by publishing a written statement. In the letter of resignation presented in writing by Uilenberg, “Dear referees, the date of 8 March 2022 will forever remain a black page in Turkish Refereeing. It was an unfair and incredible decision to remove many referees together with the candidate referee for the 2022 World Cup. I have been in the Arbitration business in many countries for a very long time, I have never seen such a decision before.”

“I TOLD FERHAT GÜNDOĞDU I WOULD NOT SUPPORT THIS DECISION”
Uilenberg stated that he told MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu that he would not support the decision after the decision announced on 8 March that 13 referees would not be able to manage a match, and said, “On the day this decision was taken, Ferhat Gündoğdu, the Chairman of the Central Referee Committee, made such a decision, many referees’ careers, real facts and explanations. “I said I would not support a decision that kills without it,” he said.

“I AM VERY HAPPY THAT THE ARBITRATION COMMITTEE DECIDED IN FAVOR OF THE ARBITRATORS AND OBSERVERS”
Expressing that he was glad that the Arbitration Board accepted the objections of the referees and stopped the execution of the decision, Uilenberg said, “I emailed the President of the Football Federation twice and stated that it was a disrespectful decision to end the career of Cüneyt Çakır’s referee, who has been one of the best advertisements of the TFF for 12 years. My hope was that the wise people in the Turkish Football Federation would intervene and cancel this insane decision from March 8 until today. I am very happy that the Arbitration Board took the only correct decision in a fair, informed and strong manner and decided in favor of the referees and observers. “The decision of the Board of Arbitration, which is an independent board, was that it was not necessary to comply with the decision. The Board of Directors of the TFF, on the other hand, unbelievably accepts this approach of the MHK.”

“I END MY COOPERATION WITH MHK”
Stating that he ended his cooperation with the Central Arbitration Committee and the Central Arbitration Committee, Uilenberg said, “I cannot trust and support this Central Arbitration Committee and this Central Arbitration Committee President. The working methods are not fair and honest and it is very dangerous for all referees, including the referees who are on the list. “If they continue, they may do more harm. As of today, I am terminating my cooperation with this Central Arbitration Committee President and the Central Arbitration Committee.”

“IT WAS A PRIDE WORKING WITH YOU”
Expressing his best wishes to the referees he worked with, Uilenberg said, “I wish the best for TFF. “Dear referees, it has been an honor for me to work with you for such a long time. I wish you the best of everything, stay healthy, and wish you and your family a good future. Best wishes.”
