Sports judge, in Provedel a stop for blasphemous expression

The Spezia goalkeeper was clearly framed by the TVs. Smoke bombs on the pitch, Genoa fined 12 thousand euros

Sports Judge Gerardo Mastrandrea punished the Spezia goalkeeper Ivan Provedel with a one-day disqualification for “having uttered a blasphemous expression in the 9th of the second half”, which emerged clearly from the television coverage that left no room for doubt.

The fines

Fines then for Genoa and Cagliari. The Ligurians were sanctioned “for having his supporters launched some smoke bombs on the pitch that forced the referee, three times, to interrupt the match to allow their removal”. The fine is 12 thousand euros, 2 thousand more than that imposed on Lecce for the outbreak of the firecracker that knocked out the Vicenza goalkeeper. Cagliari, on the other hand, was fined 8,000 euros “for having its supporters, at the end of the match, throw a seat on the playing field beyond an auction that hit one of their own players”.

All stopped

So these are the disqualified players: Ivan Provedel (Spezia), Petar Stojanovic and Valerio Verre (Empoli), Sasa Lukic (Turin). As for coaches and staff: a round and 3,000 euro fine for Vincenzo Sicignano (Empoli) for having “contested the refereeing work and addressed, approaching the Fourth Official, a disrespectful criticism of the Match Officials”; a turn to goalkeeper trainer Nuno Santos (Rome) for having “blatantly contested an arbitration decision”; a turn to the Sampdoria athletic trainer Massimo Catalano for having “blatantly contested the refereeing work”.
