Customers can still deposit and bet over 1,000 euros with licensed betting providers in Germany. A new State Treaty on Gaming has been in force in Germany since July 2021. Betting providers get a state license if certain requirements are met. A cornerstone is player protection, with a deposit limit of EUR 1,000 for online bets covering all providers. But all licensed betting providers in Germany are now complaining and until then the regulation has been postponed.
