Sport Vlaanderen makes center in Woumen more energy efficient

Flemish Minister of Sport Ben Weyts is investing more than 300,000 euros to renovate the site. Among other things, the refectory and the administrative building will be given a green facelift. The works should bring Flanders a step closer to its goal of being climate neutral by 2050.

Sport Vlaanderen spends more than seven million euros on sustainable renovation projects in all provinces. The government insulates walls and roofs, but also renews fireplaces and installs green roofs. These actions save more than 30,000 tons of CO₂ per year.
