The Sportverbund Sport 2000 introduces a new trade fair concept to modernize and optimize the order fairs at the Mainhausen trade fair campus. With a new name and logo concept, the network wants to create a clear, range-specific structure and thus offer visitors and exhibitors the best possible orientation.

The core of the new system are the so-called S-fairs, each of which is assigned to a specific segment and order date: S1 stands for running, training/sports style as well as optional Swim/beach, S2 bundles the outdoor range and S3 focuses on the winter area.

Based on the “Home of Experts” brandClaim, the individual categories should also be better visible. For example, the S1 fair is positioned as Home of Running, Home of Training or Home of Swim/Beach, while S2 is communicated as Home of Outdoor and S3 as Home of Winter.

Margit Gosau, Managing Director of Sport 2000 GmbH, explains: “In our themed worlds-for example Home of Running, Home of Training, Home Of Outdoor or Home Of Winter-we are specifically curate for the respective dealer target groups. We ensure that both our expert retailers and our multi-category retailers are addressed and feel good.”

At the same time, Sport 2000 is introducing a new fair software, which should enable central and efficient schedule between trade, industry and grouping group, among other things.

Around 2,000 sports shops are organized in the 7-country association of Sport 2000 GmbH with the headquarters in Mainhausen. In 2024 they achieved an outdoor turnover of around 4.04 billion euros. Sport 2000 GmbH is a subsidiary of the AnwR Group, one of the largest trade cooperations in Europe.
