The 50 most visited stadiums of the 2024/25 season are divided into three continents in 15 countries. The number one worldwide can be found in Argentina, BVB, FC Bayern and the Milan clubs. Germany is most common with eleven arenas-in five of them there was second division football. Thus, the 2nd Bundesliga is just as often as a series A and even more often than the Ligue 1.
Despite a disappointing season, their team’s Schalke fans remain loyal to their team and secure 11th place behind West Ham and in front of Tottenham with an average of 61,639 spectators per game in this ranking-two clubs, who also disappointed in their leagues. The Hamburger SV, which, in the seventh start, succeeded in a record backdrop of an average of 56,324 fans in the seventh start. Already in the pre-season the red pants cracked their spectators from the 2009/10 season and followed. In an international comparison, this is enough for the 20th rank ahead of DL Yingbo from the Chinese Super League.
The fan interest at the 1st FC Kaiserslautern is also as high with 46,348 tickets sold per home game as in the 2010/11 Bundesliga season. The FCK ranks in front of FC Barcelona, which is probably only in 40th place for the last time. Since the 2023/24 season, the Catalans have been playing in the Olímpic Lluís Companys, who is unloved by fans, which has 55,926 spectators, but only attracted an average of only 45,953 spectators to the stadium.
The return to Camp Nou, which will offer 106,000 covered places after the renovation, is planned for the end of September. However, Europe’s largest stadium will initially only be partially open – with around 60 percent capacity, since some construction phases have not yet been completed.
River Plate Worldwide number 1 – BVB & FC Bayern 17X sold out
Depending on when the Camp Nou works with full capacity, it could bump River Plate from the global spectator throne in the next season. The Mâs Monumental in the north of Buenos Aires welcomes an average of 84,782 fans and is almost always sold out. City rival Boca Juniors plays in the south of the Argentine capital in Alberto J. Armando in front of 52,478 visitors and thus occupies 27th place behind Borussia Mönchengladbach and in front of Newcastle United.
The best -visited stadium in England – in fourth place worldwide – belongs to Manchester United despite the worst season since 1974. In the Old Trafford, 73,815 visitors frolicked per game and saw only seven victories in 19 attempts.
FC Bayern provided much more fun at home fans in the Allianz Arena, which was sold out 17 times with 75,000 fans. In Germany, only BVB went one step down: The Signal Iduna Park was for the first time in the Bundesliga with 81,365 fans at 100 percent occupancy.
Despite the third championship in series, the number of spectators at Galatasaray (47th place) declined. The stadium with the easy -to -notice name Ali Yen Spac Compleksi Rams Park was opened in 2011 and offers space for 53,978 spectators – average 42,702 fans wanted to see the lions during the title defense. That is almost 400 fewer than in the pre -season and 2,400 fewer than 2022/23. Galatasaray is the only club from Turkey to make it into the international top 50 of the most visited football arenas. Mexico (CF Monterrey | 50), the USA (Atlanta United | 44) and Iran (Tractor FC | 43) are also represented with a stadium.
