Special operation in Utrecht: three unknown couples exchange a kidney at the same time

An acquaintance wants to donate a kidney to you, but medically speaking you are not a match. Then you may still be able to get a new kidney through a detour. Something exceptional recently happened at the UMC Utrecht: three patient-donor couples exchanged kidneys without each other’s knowledge – on one day, in one hospital.
